Charles J. Mayer is a full service Wood Destroying Pest and Organism inspection and repair firm. We have been in business in the East Bay Area for 30 years. Our reports are used by property owners to help maintain their investment as well as people who are buying or selling a property who are in need of information on the condition a property is in. We will give you the same report no matter if you are the buyer, seller, or just interested in the condition of your on investment. We are not trying to sell you and service, and therefore we charge a minimal fee for these reports. We do however, provide full treatment and repair services that are completed by our own fully qualified employees.
These inspections will provide you with important information that you can use to help maintain your investment. There will be many items listed in the report that are not priced for repair. These are things that you should be doing as a property owner for ongoing maintenance. Our reports are emailed out on the next business day.
If we do perform chemical treatments for the control of Wood Destroying Pests, Charles J. Mayer will return to the property at the end of the 1 year warrantee to inspect the area treated and make sure that the treatments have succeeded. There is no charge for this service. We will offer you a Control Service Agreement at that time. This is an extended warrantee for the control of the targeted pest. Every 3 years that the property is covered by a Control Service Agreement, we will complete a full inspection of the property and issue a new report.
The Structural Pest Control Board staff counsel and Kelli Okuma finalized that if test holes are performed as part of an inspection, first an inspection report must be made to indicate the inaccessible areas to be inspected by the installation of test holes. Secondly, a Notice of Work Completed/ Not Completed must be filed to indicated completion of any installation of test holes and any subsequent findings and recommendations. Kelli Okuma indicated that the Structural Pest Control Board specialists will continue to enforce this interpretation of the regulations noted on the attached Memorandum, located on under Test Holes in our Services Page.
